Join us on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Mellwood Art Center for an unforgettable evening celebrating the I Rise Program and community. The New Directions team deeply appreciates your support of our Family Self-Sufficiency program; every contribution is essential.
This year’s gala will honor the incredible journeys of our participants as they continue to make strides toward self-sufficiency. With 230 residents currently enrolled, we help families navigate the “benefits cliff” by saving a portion of rent increases in escrow for their transition to market-rate housing or homeownership.
We recently celebrated a milestone as four participants completed the program, achieving their goals and securing employment without relying on cash assistance. Their achievements were recognized during a visit from HUD’s FSS team on August 27th, and we’re excited to highlight their journeys at the gala.
