The Tess Trail Run is back for our 10 year anniversary! And we're celebrating BIG time!This trail run raises money for The Grief Center right here in Tulsa, providing professional grief counseling for everyone in need - All losses. All Ages. No matter what.
Experience a run unlike any other through Tulsa's own Turkey Mountain trails. New to trail running? This is the perfect place to start! The Tess Trail Run runs a unique course through the hills of Turkey Mountain, and is great for any skill level.
You don't have to be an experienced runner to make a difference! Walk, run, hike, jog, or skip through the trails with us. Every step matters!
2020 was an incredible year on the trails, with virtual runners joining us from all over the country. This year, The Trail Run will be have a 5K trail run and a 10K trail run to challenge our veteran runners, plus our virtual runs that reach individuals all over the state.
On July 17th our race will end with an awards ceremony and a fun after-party complete with food, drinks and music. Bring your friends, family, and professional cheer squad out to cheer you on at the finish line and enjoy this special event. While you hit the trails, friends and family can enjoy our photobooth, food truck, and shop race swag.
Our virtual runs were such a hit in 2020, we're bringing them back for 2021! Runners can pick any of the options below
- Run the Trail Run 5K, 10K or Memorial Mile in person with us at Turkey Mountain on July 17, 2021
- Run the SAME Tess Trail Run 2021 course at Turkey Mountain as a virtual trail runner! The RaceJoy app comes with the race course pre-loaded so virtual runners can run the same course as the in-person runners. You will have a two week window to complete the race, and the RaceJoy app will track your distance and time.
- Run a virtual 5K or 10K from anywhere! Track your distance and time using the RaceJoy app. Runners have 2 weeks to complete their run from anywhere.
All runners receive a finisher medal and a super soft Tess Trail Run 2021 t-shirt, and for our 10 year anniversary, we want to remember the reason The Tess Trail Run began.
In 2011, this event was a special remembrance walk for those who had experienced the death of someone important to them, and we know many of our runners are still hitting the trails in memory of someone they love. This year, we will have special shirt colors so you can honor your loved one and share their memory. Whether you're running for a family member, a dear friend, or to let other grievers know that their stories matter and they are not alone, there's a color for you.
