Confucius said in the Analects:
“When I walk along with two others, they may serve as my teachers. I will select their good qualities and follow them, and the not so good, I will correct them in myself.”
This basically means that there is always something I can learn from others, both positive and negative. In fact, the people who continue to push our buttons, people with whom we are embroiled in hurtful situations, may turn out to be our greatest teachers.
Depending on how old we are and how we live our lives, we may have met thousands of people in our lifetime. This quote from Dirk Wittenborn rings so true.
“We are the sum of all people we have ever met; you change the tribe and the tribe changes you.”
Who we are today is a result of the people we come across. In your life, who has the greatest impact in helping to shape the person who you are today?
Let us reflect on that; and, moving forward, with the lessons that we have learned, how could we in turn be teachers to the younger generation, our tribe. We will explore together how we could exert a positive influence on the people around us.

We are a 4 minute walk from the Crows Nest Metro station, a 6-minute walk from St Leonards station, and close to bus stops on the Pacific Highway.
There is metered parking available on the street and the Hume St parking station is a few streets away.
