The Talk: A Group Discussion Series on Sexuality

This event offers a safe space to share your thoughts, experiences, and questions in a supportive environment. Whether you're curious, confused, or confident about your sexuality, this group discussion series is for you.

All genders, sexual orientations, relationship styles, single or partnered are welcome. I encourage you to invite partners and friends, or come alone and make new ones while you're here!

Willow leads the group through a discussion about online erotica, which includes everything from mainstream porn sites to ethical porn, audio erotica, literotica, and OnlyFans. You will gain an understanding of your relationship to porn and plenty of resources if you'd like to explore more at home. Porn itself is not the problem on its own, the problems are rooted in how we consume it, and the lack of education around it. If we turn to porn as sex education, we're setting ourselves up for failure. You will learn how to distinguish ethically created content from exploitative content, and you'll gain confidence in your decisions to listen to or watch what you actually enjoy.

Willow will provide plenty of examples, while inviting you to share your own experiences, either altogether or in small groups of 2 or 3. It is never mandatory that you share, though it is encouraged:) Since this is not a "TED talk" format, you will be able to connect with others, while leaning on Willow as a guide to lead you.

We take a 10-minute break halfway through so that you can refill your drinks, snacks, and mingle.

If weather permits, we will be on Vibrart's beautiful rooftop, so bring a jacket! If it's too cold, we'll be just inside the top floor of Vibrart, and you can still go out to enjoy the views on the rooftop if you want. It's very cozy. Wine, water, and snacks will be provided.

Hi! I’m Willow. My undergrad degree in psychology is from New York University. I hold two masters degrees: one in Sex & Couples Therapy and another in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I’ve been teaching university students in Barcelona for the last 3 years, most notably in my course The Psychology of Human Sexuality.

Understanding your sexuality is a lifelong journey and no one expects you to have all the answers. These talks provide a supportive environment in which you realize you are not alone in your doubts, insecurities, fantasies, or experiences.
