In this class we will be focusing in on one of the classic moves, a Lindy Circle! How can we make them buttery smooth? Or dynamic and rhythmical? Let's build up some fundamental technique then play with all the ways you can do a circle!

Ok, so you got some cool moves? Now what? Well you gotta put them together! How we transitions between shapes can be a little awkward or feel jarring. We're gonna help you from the awkward restart to delicious flow!

Aerials! We love them, they look really cool, and we want you to learn them safely so that you will also love them and not get injured. With that safety, you can do really exciting stuff already in 1 workshop!

You will need to register with one or more partners. We will not be rotating partners in class, and we will also not be match making in class.

๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐น๐ tried many different dance styles before falling in love with Swing. The freedom of improvisation, the satisfaction of rhythm and the deep historical and cultural roots of the dance made her want to learn more.
She is now known for her classroom energy, musicality, and infectious enthusiasm for all things Jazz. When it comes to dance, she deeply values self expression and fully committing to the idea. As a teacher, she focuses on individually helping her students on their own dance journeys and finds so much joy in seeing them grow.
Katie holds multiple first place titles at, International Lindy Hop Championships, Balkan Lindy Hop Championships and Savoy Cup. When not throwing down in international competitions she is teaching all over the world sharing what she has learned. When not on the dance floor you might find her in a hip hop class or on the stage at her local drag bar.
As an instructor, ๐ ๐ถ๐ธ๐ฒ strives to create a learning environment that is fun, challenging, and inclusive. The goal is for each individual student to find their next step forward and enjoy that process of growth. Mike loves seeing studentsโ eyes light up when they understand a concept or feel a movement work naturally in their body for the first time.
Mike has taught dance in 22 countries and counting. He currently teaches Lindy Hop, Air Steps, Solo Jazz, and many different Blues styles. Mike has not only placed in and won respected competitions across multiple genres but also thrown down hard in unofficial late night dance-offs.
Mike lives and breathes dance. He is constantly honing his skills and developing new ideas. If you run into him at a grocery store, an airport, a museum, or a mountain top, youโll probably catch him dancing.

Youโre comfortable with the core rhythms and shapes of Lindy Hop, including 6- and 8-count, swing outs, sugar pushes, and Charleston (including tandem). You may not have perfected them yet, but youโve built a solid foundation. At this level, youโre starting to create your own variations, understand frame and connection, and explore musicality. You're looking for inspiration to elevate your dancing to the next level.

Youโve been social dancing and attending festivals for years, and might teach local classes. You improvise with confidence, adapt easily to different partners, and can express musicality across a wide range of tempos. Your technique, rhythm, and creativity allow you to dance with clarity, playfulness, and individuality.

Everyone: plank for 30 seconds, 30 squats.
Fliers: 10 tuck jumps, 10 V-sits en hold it for 20 seconds, comfortable with being upside down.
Bases: 30 second wide leg squat hold; lift your partner in your arms and walk around with them for 20 seconds.
