We invite you to our monthly Swap Social & open house event!CLOTHES SWAP
Requested donation: 350 THB (children under 12 swap for free)
⁃ Guys can join the event for free
Bring how much or how little you want to swap. All gently used items are welcome. Unlimited swapping!
⁃ *We will prepare some clothes for people who arrive early to swap*
⁃ There is limited parking at the venue
⁃ Do you have special requests, such as plus size clothing, children’s clothing, maternity clothing, men’s clothing? Please text us if you’d like to see any of those items at the event.
⁃ Small household goods such as books, little plants, home decor are welcome at the swap
- Please do not bring torn, stained items, or unusable items like used underwear.
- You can donate clothes to the swap without attending the swap. To drop off clothes for donation, you can send them by Grab on. Please message us here to arrange this.
⁃ Note: The requested 350 baht donation fee helps to cover our venue fees & costs in terms of time & effort in operating the swaps and creating quality events.
What happens to the swap leftovers? We always have a lot of clothing left over at our swaps. We cannot store everything, so we try to deal with leftovers strategically as possible and send them where they will be used or dispose of flawed items responsibly. Here are some of the things that happen to leftovers:
- Donated to particular needs we are aware of in our community
- Donated to particular charities that can make use of clothing, such as Baan Nokkamin or the Mirror Foundation
- Some will be saved for our subsequent swaps, especially things we are usually short on supply such as kids' clothing, men's clothing, plus size, etc
- Some items will remain at our swapshop which will live on as a thrift shop in between swaps to help fund our efforts with the Bangkok Recycling Chain
- We ask that people do not bring torn or stained items to our swaps, but when we do receive the occasional "unswappable/unusable" item we send it to N15 to be burned as clean fuel.
***Anything that you contribute to the swap that is left over after the swap may be donated or resold to raise funds at our discretion. (If you are not happy for your item to be donated or resold, at the end of the swap if it is not taken you can bring it back home with you.)***
