About this Event
This February, children ages 8–11 are invited to The Studio Session: Black Brilliance Lab — a hands-on STEM and Black History experience that celebrates creativity, problem-solving, and innovation.
✨ This experience is open to children of all backgrounds and highlights the contributions of Black innovators in STEM as part of Black History Month.
Each Saturday, participants will engage in a guided, age-appropriate 2-hour experience that allows time to build, test ideas, collaborate, and reflect — without feeling rushed.
Each session allows participants to:
🖤 Learn about a Black innovator in STEM
🧠 Complete a guided, age-appropriate STEM challenge
✍🏽 Use a Code Planner or Design Card to plan their ideas
🎒 Take home a project they are proud to share
