Human beings are made of stories. We all have memories and events that have shaped our sense of self and of the world. Also, we are consciously or subconsciously constantly looking for ways to tell the stories we hold, to share them. So why not just to make it happen – through writing, in a safe and friendly space surrounded by like-minded people?
The Story So Far is a short creative writing course that gives you a chance to first try out different ways of storytelling and then – just tell a story you feel like telling right now. First two weeks will be dedicated to warm-up pieces. We also read poetry, short stories, and other short forms by different authors to get us going. Then we jump into writing our stories.
By the end of the course you will have at least one written short story. Or a writing piece of any genre you like, actually. Because stories can be told through poetry as well, as we know. You will also receive personal feedback from the group supervisor and your group mates. In a kind and respectful way, of course.
The group is small – up to 7 people.
The course will take place on four Sunday mornings in April and May. We are going to meet on April 21st, April 29th, May 5th and May 19th (NB! we'll skip May 12th), from 10–12 at the Rüütel and Matilda bookshop in Tallinn Old Town. We communicate in English, but you can write your texts in any language you prefer.

The course will be led by Berit Kaschan – an experienced writing facilitator, bibliotherapist and a forever curious poet.
The course fee is 280 € (if you wish, you can pay for the course in two parts), incl. coffee, tea and snacks.
