A day-long workshop to reconnect with your voice - through story, sound, and presence.
About this Event

The Story of Your Voice Workshop 11am - 5pm

Our voices are powerful, personal, and deeply connected to who we are. They carry memory, emotion, ancestry, and truth - not just in how they sound, but in how they feel.

For some, using the voice feels effortless. For others, it carries hesitation, old stories, or a sense of holding back. This workshop is a space to explore the full, natural expression of your voice - through breath, resonance, and story.

We’ll explore:

  • The voice as a vessel for story, memory, and soul
  • Letting go of performance and perfectionism
  • Deep listening
  • Personal storytelling as a way to reclaim voice
  • Group exercises that build presence and connection

Whether you're a singer, storyteller, teacher, healer, or simply someone curious about their own voice - this space is for you.

Includes a one-hour break for lunch: please bring your own sack lunch and we'll eat together.

Optional Ancestor Feast with friends and family at 6pm

Join us following the workshop for an ancestor feast. Bring a dish inspired by your ancestral line. We'll join in ritual and ceremony to honor those who came before us and share a beautiful meal together. All are welcome to this free event (even if you didn't attend the workshop. Invite your friends and family to join us!)

Who it’s for:
  • Artists, seekers, and soul-led humans
  • People with wounds around their voice or visibility
  • Those longing to connect more deeply with their voice, story, and presence

No prior experience needed - all voices welcome.

What to Bring:
  • Comfortable clothes
  • A journal and pen
  • A water bottle
  • A willingness to show up with presence

About Katherine Eid Wild:

Katherine is an actively touring storyteller, singer, and filmmaker.

Her work is shaped by the practice of dreamwork, time spent in nature, and the rich tapestry of her family’s stories. Known for her poetic style and ‘stories within stories,’ Katherine’s intergenerational work invites audiences right into the heart of her inner world.

Her film, A Spring for Ali, has been screened at festivals from the Arab American Museum in Dearborn, Michigan, to Beirut, Lebanon. Recently, she was named a finalist in the International Storytelling Festival story slam and received a grant from the Andy Warhol Foundation for a storytelling project. In 2025, Katherine will perform at the Bioneers Conference, Oregon Country Fair, the National Storytelling Network Conference fringe festival, and International Digital Storytelling Conference in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Having grown up with professional voice training, she left the music world feeling broken. The journey to reclaiming the joy of her voice has brought her to want to share it with others. Her approach is deeply influenced by her training in group facilitation based on Hakomi principles. She sees each group as a living system, where every voice matters and where compassionate presence and deep listening create a safe and transformative container.

Through her work in voice and story, Katherine helps others find the courage to share their voice - not for perfection, but for true expression.

Katherine’s love of travel has taken her all over the world, but nowhere does she feel more enlivened than in Lebanon, where she now spends time regularly. She currently resides in Fairfield, Iowa where she sings, writes, and takes to the stage at every opportunity.
