The State of Buses in Our Region

Join us for a panel discussion on emerging trends in bus transportation. Zach Trogdon of the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation will discuss the agency’s innovative new intercity bus service, Virginia Breeze, which is connecting communities across Virginia. We’ll also explore developments in local bus services and how the headway we’re making locally aligns with national trends.

Zach Trogdon has over two decades of public sector management experience. Prior to coming to DRPT as the Chief of Public Transportation, he was most recently the Executive Director for the Williamsburg Area Transit Authority. Prior to that Zach served in local government management in North Carolina and Virginia, specifically in Charles City County, VA (birthplace of two presidents), Boiling Springs, NC (birthplace of Earl Scruggs and home to Gardner-Webb University) and Wilkesboro, NC (home to Merlefest and Lowe’s Hardware).
