THE STANFORD FAMILY BAND (LIVE)
Endearingly old-fashioned but somehow completely of their time, this Brighton based four piece unashamedly wear their influences on their sleeves – think The Beach Boys, think The Modern Lovers. Their songs gracefully weave complex four-part harmonies with disarmingly memorable melodic hooks, all held together by Elliot Stanford’s unique, captivating lead vocal. This is a band tailor-made to soundtrack those good times you sigh about with a smile on your face in reflective mood on a cold winter’s day. By the time the summer comes around, you’ll struggle to find a more perfect band to dance around in the sun to.
SKI LIFT (LIVE)
The project of Welsh songwriter Benji Tranter, Ski Lift make endearing power-pop infused indie-rock. Joined by friends Elizabeth Walsh on bass and vocals, and Adam Fletcher on drums, the DIY trio are releasing a slew of singles in early 2024. Having shared a stage with the likes of Holiday Ghosts, ARXX and Mary in the Junkyard, they have already received support on the airwaves from BBC Radio 1, 6 Music and Radio X.
BASTIEN (LIVE)
Formed in London one week prior to lockdown, Bastien spent much of their first year writing remotely - swapping demos and finding common influences. Soon finding common ground in the genres of new wave, soft rock, psych and jangle pop, the four-piece have drawn comparisons to bands such as The Field Mice, Teenage Fanclub, and REM. Since releasing two DIY singles 'Empty House' & 'Black-Eyed Dog' earlier this year, Bastien have been establishing their presence on the London live circuit and recording their debut EP 'Stroud Green Stoop' to be released in February 2023.
