The St. Thomas More Guild Annual Luncheon will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 12:00 pm at the Buffalo Convention Center.
The Guild will recognize Frank Carroll, a recently retired attorney with a long and outstanding career in the title insurance business, most of which he spent with Fidelity National Financial, Inc. and subsidiary companies that include Chicago Title Insurance. He is a long-time member of the St. Thomas More Guild, as well as being a past president and former director. Over the years, Frank has received a number of awards, including the Special Service Award and the Lawyer of the Year Award from the Erie County Bar Association as well as the Professionalism Award from the Real Property Section of the New York State Bar Association. He is a past board member and president of the Erie County Bar Foundation.
Our guest speaker is Deacon Steven R. Schumer, president and chief executive officer of Catholic Charities of Buffalo since January 2020. He is president of the Board of Delta Development of WNY Inc., and chairperson of the New York State Council of Catholic Charities Directors. He is a member of the boards of directors of Northland Workforce Training Center, the Foundation of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo, the Diocese of Buffalo Lay Pension Committee and the St. Joseph Investment Fund. He also serves on the Social Policy Committee of Catholic Charities USA. He served on the Board of St. Francis High School in Athol Springs for six years.
Annual scholarship winners will also be honored.
