Brockville, our lively hub in the beautiful 1000 Island region, is about to add a new thread to its cultural tapestry with the creation of The St. Lawrence Writers’ Festival, a festival that celebrates literature, connects writers with readers, and enriches the area’s cultural scene. With the Kingston and 1000 Island Writers’ Festivals no longer in operation, Brockville’s St. Lawrence Writers Festival is set to fill this gap by bringing a fresh, exciting literary event to the region. The goal is to have an annual festival that showcases both established and emerging Canadian authors, offering a platform for inspiration, learning, and cultural exchange.
For the inaugural festival this September 5, 6 and 7 our confirmed line-up already includes many notable Canadian authors including our Guest of Honour:
Linwood Barclay is a New York Times bestselling author with twenty novels to his credit. His books have been translated into more than two dozen languages, sold millions of copies and he counts Stephen King among his fans.
