The annual St. Andrew's Christmas concert is on Thursday the 11th of December. Doors open at 7pm, the performance will begin at 7:30pm. This year our concert is in the company of the Leicester Rock Choir. A wonderful way to get the Christmas mood underway within the beautiful surroundings of St. Andrew's Church in Aylestone Village. Hosted by the St. Andrew's Initiative all funds raised will go toward hosting future community events and supporting the parish of St. Andrew's Church.NB: We Got Tickets is a third-party ticket provider; if you have any issues with your purchase, please contact We Got Tickets customer service. On the night, please bring either a print out of your ticket or have it on your device ready to view.
The Leicester Rock Choir is led by Sarah Stephens who has a wealth of experience as a conductor and teacher and loves using her energetic personality and expertise to enthuse singers and musicians of all ages and abilities. Sarah is a highly talented and enthusiastic musician who graduated with a BMus (Hons) from the University of Birmingham and went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Vocal Studies at Birmingham Conservatoire for which she was awarded a Distinction. She enjoys combining her passion for singing and teaching. She performs as a freelance soprano soloist and has performed throughout the country including at York Minster, Birmingham Symphony Hall, St Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey. NB: The event is open to all ages, but children must be accompanied by an adult.
Please note that parking within the immediate area of the Church is limited. We recommend arriving into the area early and using one of the non-restricted nearby roads within the immediate vicinity of the Church. We ask that your respect local residents by parking responsibly, ensuring that your are not blocking access to properties or parking in way that may hinder other road users and emergency services. These roads are within a 5 - 10 minute walk of the Church; Narrow Lane, Marsden Lane, Conaglen Road, Plantation Avenue, Morban Road, Sanvey Lane, Franklyn Road, Belvoir Drive, Paigle Road, St. Anne's Drive, Riverside Close.
Arriva buses ‘84’ and ‘85’ stop only a short 5 minute walk away from the Church. The Arriva ‘47’ bus is about a 20 minute walk away.
