Come join PNW "Comedy Music" legends and masters of the Mash-Up THE SQUIRRELS in their first official public appearance since 2019 as they celebrate the release of an all-new 5 song studio CD! That's right, folks. The Fabulous Squirrels Group are officially BACK, and boy howdy, are they prepared to show ya'll a good time, with a rockin' and hilarious new EP simply titled "42", a new show with a bunch of new songs, and a newly revised line-up! The crew for this round includes founding member Rob "Capt." Morgan (lead vocals, kazoo), Jimmy Thomas (guitar, vocals), Bruce Laven (keyboards, vocals), Bill Ray (drums), Matt Fox (bass, vocals), Mary K (Slinky) and all-new "New Guy", Ed Viars (guitar, vocals)! Now THAT is gonna ROCK. Or... something. Ya'll ready for this? (Better question still, are THEY? Time will tell, I guess. But odds are good. They ARE the fucking Squirrels, after all.)About the event:
Sunday, Feb. 1st- 3 to 6 PM. 21 plus with ID. Cover- $10.00 at the door.
An early show on a Sunday afternoon to make it easier on all of you old farts that may actually REMEMBER the band, the gang are hoping for more of a "party" vibe than a "bunch of loud bands in a bar" vibe. This event will serve as both a belated "40th Anniversary" show and as a sort of "Soft Opening" for a whole new Squirrels era. Maybe a poster display, or some kind of stupid games, or... something (Slinky races?). Maybe a pot luck? Of course, none of that may happen at all. Still kicking ideas around. Oh, and wear your Squirrels shirt from back in the day! Fly that Freak Flag proudly, actual "weirdos". (Got a goofy idea for the event? Let us know! Let's have some damn fun!)
As for music, the bar will of course be playing the new "42" EP for ya'll to hear through the PA a few times before and after the show, along with.. uh... somethin' else snappy. Still working on it. Yes, the CD- which includes 5 brand new studio tracks- will be available to purchase for $10.00, while they last (and hopefully maybe a new t-shirt as well). There will only be 200 CDs made, and only 100 of those are being made to the general public here in the NW, only at our shows (the other 100 go to the band, hardcore fans out of state, and of course a few copies for promos). So, yeah- you snooze, you lose! You have been warned! And one copy per person, maybe two, please, at least until we know that everyone that actually shows up and wants one is covered. OK? Assuming that anybody does show up. We really have no idea how this is gonna go. We WILL be posting the new EP up as a free download/stream on JT's website as usual, so you'll get to hear it, no matter what. These CDs are pretty just for the lifers and physical media junkies that actually want to hold an actual Squirrels product in their hands again and add it to their collections. Like us, for instance. It's been a long time. We're really looking forward to it! Anyway, yeah... this is gonna be a HOOT!
As for LIVE entertainment, the newly refurbished Squirrels will be the only band playing that day, and will be performing one set of largely new material. "How long will the set be?", you ask? Who knows! Starting from scratch with a new line up and a new member, it all depends on how many songs they come up with by then! But they don't seem too worried about it. They've already got a good start on some pretty funny stuff. So, yeah. No worries. They'll entertain the masses, come Hell or high water. It's what they do. THIS is gonna be a HOOT.

It's a pretty damn good one, people. The band are REALLY happy with it. You'll see. That's about all that I can say for now, as they still have a session or two to go. CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES AS WE GET CLOSER TO THE SHOW!!! I think we could ALL use a bit of goofy fun right about now, don't you think? Now more than EVER. Let's DO THIS, America! ✊🏻🧷🏴☠️🙃🐿❤️
