You’re called by God to write. You’re called to share the good news of Jesus with others. You’re called a Christian writer. How does this impact your daily life? How does your daily life impact your writing? How does your spiritual life impact your writing?
How we approach our spiritual life affects our writing, regardless of genre or forum. We aren’t all called to write formal Bible study curriculum, but we are all called to use our gifts and callings to bring glory and honor to God and to share the truth of the gospel with others.
How can we do this if we aren’t intentional to remind ourselves of these truths? How can we regularly grow and nurture our hearts, minds, and souls in worship and communion with God? How can we seek Him first, before picking up our pens or racing our keyboards, and find greater delight and joy in the work He has given us?
Join us at our September meeting to be challenged and encouraged, not only in the work of your writing but in the work of heart in your life and how that impacts your writing and your living. We hope to see you there!
Monica J. Butler is passionate about adult discipleship and the Word of God. As one who came to faith as a young adult, she is thrilled to help others be encouraged and challenged by the truths and treasures of Scripture and to reveal the everyday application of the gospel for each person.
Monica holds a BA in Biblical Studies and an MA in Bible and Theology and serves as a writer, speaker, and teacher who primarily develops discipleship tools and Christian living and devotional works on a regular basis. In January, she released a women’s Bible study on the book of Deuteronomy, through College Press Publishing, and she has enjoyed getting to share her love of Bible study with others through this new tool. You can learn more about her at monicajbutler.com.
The meeting is $3 for members and $5 for non-members.
