First show ever in London for these bats, and we have Sydney Mars from The Mescaline Babies on bass! We'll be just off the plane from Italy, on one of our rare UK tours. Last time we came over was in 2019! We'll perform songs from our album Mission:Create, a new tune, plus some of our older stuff.
As we got three shows canceled by a promoter after we had made travel arrangements, we've been quickly setting up some replacement shows and we are lucky, through the help of other promoters, that we can still play London! Please don't miss this if you can make it!
Our music fluctuates between goth, deathrock, postpunk, and darkwave... but beyond genre, we love it when people tell us that they envision things while listening...

??? "The Spiritual Bat fluctuates between deathrock, gothic rock, postpunk, darkwave and batcave, with a hint of psychedelia. Active since the early 90s, the earlier incarnation was known as Spiritual Bats (plural), an offshoot of the art movement I Pittori Alchimisti (est.1975), transmuting images into sound. Based in Italy, The Spiritual Bat is an independent, self-produced act which that carried out five coast-to-coast DIY tours in the USA, and played innumerable shows, including festivals like WGT (Germany), Whitby Goth Weekend (UK), Return To The Batcave (PL), Gotham Sounds (Germany), Castle Party (PL) in Europe, but also San La Muerte Festival, Vendetta Festival, SOGO Festival, Release The Bats, and The Red Party in the USA. Current members are guitarist and composer Dario Passamonti, founding member of the first incarnation (with former singer Matteo Bracaglia, in 1992), also formerly a painter of the Alchimisti group, visually impaired since birth and legally blind since 1994, and since then literally transmuting image into sound, his life experience through shadows and darkness into music; Rosetta Garrì, singer, lyricist, co-author, arranger , who had joined the band in 1995, as drummer; Emilio Torella, bassist since 2015; Greg Scott Cruz (Sullen Serenade) often contributing keyboards all the way from Texas.
Recent collaborators have involved Ashkelon Sain (of Trance To The Sun and Devoured By Flowers, from Portland), Alessio Santoni (Volume-Ufip-Facus testimonial; from Rome), Aaron Nicholes (of Legion Within, from Seattle), Tyves Oben (Place4Tears and Scarless Arms, from Germany), and Massimo Ceci from Frosinone, Italy. The Spiritual Bat(s) – have always featured artwork by the Alchemist Painters (I pittori Alchimisti, Biennial of Venice, 1986), on their album covers and in their video projections during live shows, as well as repeated collaborations with old friend Doc Hammer (Venture Bros, Weep, Requiem In White). In 1994 the Spiritual Bats opened for Rozz Williams (Christian Death) and his Daucus Karota…" ???
