Join us for a journey into the world of oil painting as you create your own stunning interpretation of a Lake Superior scene. This one day workshop is perfect for beginners and those with some experience looking to improve their landscape painting skills.
What you will learn:
-How to confidently plan and execute a landscape painting
-Essential oil painting techniques for creating realistic scenes
-A deeper understanding of color mixing and value, which can be applied to any painting project.
Meet Your Instructor
An award-winning artist, Casey Krawczyk earned her B.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Superior and her M.F.A. from the New York Academy of Art (NYAA). Casey was significantly influenced by her upbringing in rural Minnesota and the prominent Finnish and Indigenous cultures of the region, which encouraged a deep connection to nature. Her work presents a harmonious blend of meticulous detail and a profound connection with nature, reflecting her diverse background and artistic education. Casey has several years of teaching experience; she was a professor at Western State Colorado, has taught workshops far and wide, and currently teaches classical painting and drawing on-line for the New York Academy of Art.
