When: Thursday 4 July | 7.00pm
Where: Melbourne School of Theology, 5 Burwood Highway, Wantirna VIC 3152
Mode: In-person
The Holy Spirit is one of the most discussed themes of Christianity today, and the experience of the Spirit is at the heart of Paul’s letter to the Romans, one of most important letters ever written. Paul teaches the importance of the Spirit’s work by writing of walking in the Spirit and being led by the Spirit, and we shall explore what he means by these key ideas. Paul also presents the Spirit as the source of pain—groaning—in believers, something rarely discussed among Christians today. We shall consider what this groaning means, and how Paul sees the Spirit as source of both power and pain in the Christian life.
