50 Years of Women's Studies at PFW

Essays and articles about the Folk School are archived at Yale University for their "historical significance."
The Folk School was part of the national Free School movement in the early 70's, which grew out of massive protests against America's invasion of Viet Nam, and the draft that was part of it.

With an original one act play by Terry Doran, "Angel Fire," about his mother's descent into madness, (his motivation for starting women's classes)
Discussion with students and facu;lty in Women's Studies, and Harriett Miller and Monica Pugh, the first directors of the Fort Wayne Women's Bureau and the creators of "Run, Jane, Run." Music by "The Chaneys"
Prof. Katherine Fobear, Women's Studies, Ca State, Fresno, will present her essay on the Folk School, followed by drumming, dancing and music, June 4 at RiverDrums, Promenade Park, 4:20PM
