The last Songwriters Sessions of 2022...WOW where's that year gone'... see's the return of the brilliant pop/folk duo BIRDBROTHER as our 'Special Guests'.A monthly get together and the best value for money gig in the West Midlands. Resident songwriter and promoter / host Gary O'Dea gets things going and opens up the sessions with a set of songs from his catalogue of recordings dating back over 35 years.
After a short break our Special Guests take up the baton and this final one of 2022 see's a very welcome return to BIRDBROTHER. The lads should have played back in April but their appearance was scuppered by Covid. They did however play as 'Special Guests' at the 'Songwriter Sessions On The Road' gig in Shrewsbury back in the summer and were excellent.
Formed in 2011 in Sussex by songwriter Phil Stapley, a debut album 'Peace To The Wanderer' was released in 2012 to critical acclaim. Phil relocated to Shropshire and teamed up with multi instrumentalist Paul Beadle and the duo have been slowly working their magic together ever since. They could easily be described as 'folk driven pop music tapestry weavers'...or simply just call them wonderful! They will be the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of Christmas...just come along, relax and let Birdbrother fly you away and chill you out.
