The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception

Join us in celebration of the Immaculate Conception. This feast honors Mary, the Mother of God, and celebrates the Immaculate Conception of Our Blessed Mother, the Virgin Mary. (The Immaculate Conception refers to the conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the womb of Saint Anne.)
Normally we celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception on December 8th. Since the 8th is a Sunday this year the church celebrates the feast on the 9th instead and is not considered a Holy Day of Obligation this year.
