Experience an enchanting performance of classical ballet this 23rd and 24th of November. Featuring local talent ages 6-18, follow the mystical storyline of Princess Aurora's life, starting of at the christening where we meet the majestic fairies and witness the evil Carabosse's wicked curse. Moving on to Aurora's 16th birthday where we celebrate with the iconic Garland Waltz and meet the Prince's who have come from lands wide and far to ask for the Princess's hand in marriage, enjoy our portrayal of the Rose Adage before the Princess Aurora accidental pricks her finger and fulfils the curse, falling asleep for 100 years.In Act II we fast forward 100 years and meet Prince Desire on a hunt with his entourage. In a dream like state, the Prince meanders away from the group following the enchanting trail of the Lilac Fairy who presents an image of the sleeping Princess Aurora. Leading the way, the Lilac Fairy takes Prince Desire down rives and through over grown forests until the castle is unveiled by our elegant woodland fairies.
The story ends as we celebrate the wedding of Prince Desire and Princess Aurora, enjoying solos for the wedding guests including Bluebird and Princess Florentine, Cinderella and Red Riding Hood.
