Description: Each guest will be served a luncheon and tea of choice by the Beatitudes Tea Room. When all guests have been served, I, Jeanette Bueno, Bible teacher and aromatherapist will begin an interactive scripture-studded presentation on 11 of the most beloved and written about Oils of the Ancient Scriptures. Guests will get to smell each oil as they learn about how it was used in Bible times. Everyone will also have a handout with the name of each oil and how it is used today as well. Guests can make notes on scripture references and marking the names they deem the best smelling. The last oil, Balm of Gilead, is exceptionally special because it is a type and foreshadowing of the coming Messiah prophesied to heal both body and soul. Guests will hear the fascinating story of how I was able to negotiate a deal with an Israeli orthodox Jewish aromatherapist who made it possible for me to include a bottle of this precious oil in the registration packet for everyone!Next the presentation will move through the special role crystal gemstones held in the Old Testament. In Jewish practice, the priests were from the tribe of Levi, and God gave specific instructions for the symbolic garments they were to wear while carrying out their priestly duties. The High Priest’s garments also included a breastplate with 12 gemstones sewn into it—each stone representing one of the 12 tribes of Israel. I will present the scripture reference naming each gemstone. A beautifully polished freeform palm stone will be in the packet of each registrant, to take home as a souvenir of the event. A surprise twist will show up at the end as we look at a New Testament scripture where the gemstones reappear once again!
