We are delighted to invite you to the MiSU Black Alumni, Inc., prestigious Shirley M. Rodgers Distinguished Alumni and Scholarship Awards Brunch, on Sunday, October 20th at 11 am at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center where we will recognize our scholarship recipients and the accomplishments of these remarkable Distinguished alumni:

• Clifton Wharton Jr Award: Dr. Shondra Marshall
• Rising Star Award: Endea Owens
• Trailblazer Award: Dr. Scott Metcalfe
• Community /University Service: Kim Henderson

This year’s guest speaker is Michigan State University alum and the 2024 Homecoming Grand Marshal, Sam Vincent, who is a shining example of what it means to be a globally engaged leader. The event’s Master of Ceremony will be Darnell Blackburn, a former police officer and Crime and Safety Expert on WDIV-Local 4 TV in Detroit.
