The Shapeshifters, consisting of Swedish techno producer Max Reich and British A&R exec Simon Marlin, burst onto the scene in 2003 with their smash hit "Lola's Theme." This disco-sampling floor-filler soared to No. 1 on the UK singles chart, marking the beginning of their illustrious career. Their 2006 album, Sound Advice, solidified their signature blend of downtempo soul and funky house, paving the way for the disco revival in pop and dance music. Since 2017, Simon Marlin has continued the project solo, staying true to The Shapeshifters' glittery, larger-than-life sound with anthems like "Finally Ready" and "YOLO."
