Part of The Foundry Free Music Series! Come enjoy an incredible band--free admission!The Settlement is a funk-fusion jam band from Huntington, WV. Cleverly combining rowdy rock riffs, complex jazz harmonies, funky bass lines, dreamy pop melodies, jammin’ reggae grooves and a multitude of diverse world music influences, the eclectic ensemble truly offers something for everyone. Each member has their own unique flavor and contributes to the bands’ vast array of sounds. Each set is different from the last, offering an original live performance that thrives on energy, improvisation, communication and creativity.
The Settlement released their debut album on September 23rd, 2016.
In 2019, the band released four singles. “Surrender”, “Work”, “Possibility”, and “Today”, with their fifth single “Questions” releasing the following year.
In 2021, the band released their most challenging work yet titled “Departures” which explores the more progressive, technical side of The Settlement. They also released a music video for the albums featured song titled “Stars.”
Departures follow up album, “Departures II” released April 22, 2022 and builds onto the progressive side by adding a heavier tinge to the bands sound.
