About the EveningThe Series at Lavender Hill Farm is a live music concert series held in our beautifully renovated, multi-use barn starring some of the best talent from across the United States and beyond. The bands are carefully selected to uniquely represent a wide array of music styles and bring an unexpected variety to Northern Michigan. Guests arrive early and enjoy picnicking with friends on our lawn overlooking fields of lavender. Our venue, built in 1920, has been skillfully adapted with lighting, sound, and stage. We hope that you enjoy your time on our farm and welcome you to make The Series at Lavender Hill Farm a summer tradition.
• Picnicking is welcome before shows beginning at 5:30pm.
• Local Ground live music outdoor performances are from 6-7pm.
• Theater doors open after 6pm.
• Main stage shows begin at 7:30pm.

About the Band
Midtown formed in the spring of 2018 and quickly gained attention from the barbershop and A Cappella world. In their first year together, they won the Mid-Atlantic District Quartet contest, a 5th place Bronze Medal at the Barbershop Harmony Society’s International Quartet Contest, and the Dealers Choice Award for the highest scoring first-time quartet. After a three-year COVID-hiatus, they returned to the international competition and brought home a 2nd Place Silver Medal. This past July they were crowned the 2023 Barbershop Harmony Society’s International Quartet Champion. They’ve put most of their time and energy into making music videos and other forms of media to get their music and brand out to the world. Specializing in several different genres including barbershop, contemporary a Cappella, jazz, and musical theater. Based out of New York City, Midtown is eager to share their music with audiences all over the world and to bring a new flavor of 4-part harmony to the masses.
Local Ground presents: Hanna von Bernthal
Hanna was born and raised in metro-Detroit and has been singing and playing music for as long as she can remember. She studied Biology at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and also has passions for teaching marine biology, sailing, and skiing. During the summer of 2023, she came across the opportunity to pivot from her other interests and began performing full-time. In the summer, she is based in Northern Michigan, while in the winter, you can typically find her strumming in Arizona’s "Valley of the Sun,” as well as in Vail, Colorado. She finds inspiration from the vocals of Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi, and Amy Winehouse, but also loves playing music from folk-country artists such as Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Chris Stapleton. Hanna's personal style delivers as a cross between folk, blues, and jazz. You'll almost always find her putting her own spin on covers and performing with a warm & "woody” Martin. However, behind the scenes, you can also find her writing originals, claw-hammering the banjo, and experimenting with looping pedals - elements she looks forward to incorporating into live shows in the future!
