Meditation training offers a wide range of general beneficial effects for both mental and emotional well-being, as well as physical health, primarily by managing the body’s stress response and promoting relaxation. Some scientifically documented effects: 🧘♂️
- stress and anxiety reduction
- improved emotional regulation
- enhanced self-awareness and compassion
- lengthened attention span and focus
- better mood and outlook
- increased creativity and willpower
- improved sleep quality
- pain management
- lowered blood pressure
- strengthened immune system
- potential anti-ageing effects
More recent discoveries additionally show effects regarding neural and molecular shifts, neuroplasticity, immune and cellular benefits, increased plasmalogens (antioxidants) and enhanced tryptophan metabolism, leading to more serotonin and melatonin.
In this workshop, we will emphasise how to obtain such effects ourselves – in a scientific manner. The scientific methodology implies that the effects can be repeated by anybody if the required conditions are fulfilled. So, what are the conditions that need to be fulfilled in order to obtain those beneficial effects, and how can we address them?
We will explore three types of conditions, theoretically and through exercises:
1️⃣ psychological conditions
2️⃣ physical conditions
3️⃣ other types of conditions.
In this workshop, you:
🌟Get to know some of the beneficial effects of meditation training that have been scientifically proven
🌟Understand certain mechanisms of consciousness and principles of training it, making it possible to obtain those
🌟Learn how to apply these principles in daily activities (e.g., walking, eating, working) through simple experience-guided exercises for training the consciousness
🌟Be able to develop an accessible personal practice that can be done daily, and measure the effects.
This workshop is for anyone interested in enhancing self-awareness and balance, including those seeking stress relief, as well as both beginners in meditation and advanced spiritual practitioners who want to improve their achievements through deeper understanding and systematic, efficient practice.
