Observation often lies at the heart of discovery and is frequently the predecessor to inquiry and curiosity. This is true in both science and in art, where seeing, hearing, or sensing something in the world around us leads us to want to explore it more. This month for Cafe Sci Twin Ports, we welcome MN DNR Interpretive Naturalist, Mic Rice, to lead a discussion on the role of observation in science and interacting with the natural world around us.
*AND AS A SPECIAL BONUS* we have invited a small group of local poets to use their artistic medium to "Describe a natural process or phenomenon that you have observed in nature" and share their writing with the group.
This discussion and poetry reading is Thursday, January 2nd at 6:30pm at the Dovetail Cafe in the Duluth Folk School. As always, Cafe Sci Twin Ports events are free and open to all.
