The Savants
The Savants are a southern soul group from Gainesville, FL. They perform original soul music inspired by the Muscle Shoals Sound and the output of Stax Records and Atlantic Records during the 1960s & 1970s, with some heavy dashes of early New Orleans funk. The group has undergone several personnel changes over the years but settled into its current lineup around after their self-titled album in 2020.

The Savants have been featured alongside groups such as; Gary Clark Jr., Durand Jones and the Indications, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Kendra Morris, Charles Bradley and His Extraordinares, George Porter Jr of the Meters, The Original Wailers, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Postmodern Jukebox and more.

Jen in the Right Light
Sometime around 2015, Jen in the Right Light was born in a beer-can littered shed in sunny central florida. The group started as nothing more than a few childhood friends getting together to share their love for writing original music, but grew into a years-long quest to make albums and memories that would outlive its own members. Lovingly dubbed “slack rock” by friends of the band, Jen’s music is an unyieldingly original blend of the sounds that informed its members tastes and instilled their passion for making music in their early years. Its influences blur the lines between 70’s psych, 2000’s emo, jazz, yacht rock, jam bands of all eras, and alternative/indie rock of the modern day.

After honing their stage performance at countless DIY and dive bar shows for an audience that was becoming increasingly die-hard, Jen took their first real step out of obscurity in 2020 with the release of their first album “One Way or Another,” followed immediately by “Sailboat EP” that very same year. Since then they’ve had sold out release shows, played venues all over the state of FL, and performed at a handful of larger festivals including Okeechobee Music Fest in 2022. With their forthcoming second album, tour, and a slate of singles to release in the immediate future, Jen in the Right Light has set its sights on the music festival circuit. They plan to hand deliver their powerful sound and stage presence to every open ear and eye they can find.
