Join the staff of the Emil Buehler Planetarium and the members of the Central Florida Astronomical Society as we view the ringed planet Saturn. This date was chosen because of a special observation called a ring-plane crossing. As Earth and Saturn travel in their orbits, the angle we see Saturn from Earth allows us to view Saturn with nearly no rings. A truly remarkable sight to see! We will also observe the Moon and other celestial objects in the sky this evening. The Saturn Star Party is free and all are welcome to attend. The star party will take place in the faculty parking lot in between the planetarium and baseball field.
