Q: What are Ballroom dances?
A: Ballroom dances are partner dances, which are enjoyed both socially and competitively around the world. They are divided in both rhythm & smooth for American and International styles. Some dances include Waltz, American Tango, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Rumba, East Coast Swing and so many more.
Q: What are Social Dances?
A: Any dance can be social but many popular styles are West Coast Swing, Salsa, Bachata, Hustle, Kizomba, and Argentine Tango because of the music genres they can be danced to.
Q: Do you offer beginner lessons?
A: Yes, the class is welcome to all levels and begins at the very beginning. No experience is required!
Q: Do I need a partner?
A: Dance partners are not required but you are welcome to bring a friend.
Q: Do I need special shoes?
A: Many dancers wear shoes with velvet bottoms, but these are not mandatory. We recommend flat shoes such as ballet flats, loafers, or sneakers with loose grip bottoms, closed backs, and laces. On rainy or snowy days we ask that you bring a separate pair to keep our ballroom floor dry & salt-free.
Q: Is it family-friendly?
A: Minors (14+ recommended) must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older and the legal guardian must register on behalf of the minor before participating.
Q: Can I take private lessons?
A: Absolutely! We provide introductory lessons for singles or couples for those interested in taking their dancing to the next level. Feel free to contact our studio to have your first personal private dance session!
