The American witch hunt also represents a huge legal failure and eventual change as a reaction to the executions of innocent people. In this lecture, we’ll deconstruct the pop culture image of the witch, examine the history both in Europe and the United States, and then do a deep dive into what exactly happened in colonial Massachusetts.
