The Red Rose Jazz Project, www.redrosegurls, spotlights the works of influential women composers and lyricists across jazz (& Pop) history, with a diverse lineup of timeless classics and original compositions.
The Rose Gurls pay tribute to legends like Dorothy Fields, Mary Lou Williams, Peggy Lee, Abbey Lincoln, Lizz Wright, Carla Bley, Sietah Garret, Alice Coltrain, Joni Mitchell, Anita Baker, Jill Scott, Carol King, and many more.
Jean Lenke, project leader and an accomplished vocalist from the Olympic Peninsula, and Seattle will lead the performance alongside a talented group of Seattle regional musicians.
