EVENT DETAILS:

This class explores the nature of pain sensation and its cognitive, emotional, and anatomical processing, especially in the context of rope bondage. We will focus on the importance of understanding sensory stimuli and perception through conversation and experience. During this class, the exercises will allow praticipants to implement the tools and techniques we discuss. Participants will leave this class with a deeper understanding of how to differentiate pain types, pain processing tools and techniques, and mental and physical checks that can be used to support their safety.

RECOMMENDED ITEMS TO BRING:

Wear clothing that allows you to feel comfortable, empowered or expressive. This is not a play party and all guests will be encouraged to come in clothing that comfortable and/or expressive in ways that feel good. We suggest something that you might wear to move freely without feeling restricted. Separate top and bottom that allows you to expose legs, arms, and belly may feel good for the interactive portions of this workshop but is optional.

Please bring anything else that allows you to feel comfortable and we ask that you limit usage of strong perfumes/aromas to support a variety of sensory needs. Here's a list of items we recommend for this event.

• jacket/sweater + layers for varying comfort needs and temperatures

• notepad /pen

• water + snacks

*We have mats, blankets, pillows, snacks + NA beverages
