About this Event
Aged grain spirits, known as Whisky in most countries and Whiskey in a select few, have been produced since the 1300s. Today it is expertly crafted in every corner of the globe, with world-class, award-winning whiskies hailing from India to Taiwan to Australia to Austria, and everywhere in between.
During this captivating course, we’ll take a deep look into the humble beginnings of grain spirits and their steady rise in quality and popularity. Attendees will get to enjoy two classic cocktails and a flight of ten unique styles of Whisky, while learning about their place of origin, production methods, flavor profiles, and how the category as a whole has evolved over the last eight centuries.
In addition to learning about each category, attendees will receive instruction on the fundamentals of nosing and tasting spirits in order to understand and appreciate their trademark attributes, unique nuances, and what to look for in Whiskies of superior quality. At the end of the course, you’re certain to leave feeling like a certified Master of World Whiskey!
Attendees must be 21 years of age. Class promptly begins at 12pm and concludes at 2:30pm. Hors d’oeuvres will be served at the beginning of the course. Guests are encouraged to stick around after the course concludes to enjoy our Sunday Happy Hour service at 3pm!
