Have you ever asked yourself, “How do they do it?” Well, now’s your chance to find out!
Join us for this two-hour introductory course covering all of the cocktail basics led by members of our talented bar staff and learn how to craft delicious cocktails like the pros. Attendees will learn the tools of the trade and how to properly measure, shake, stir, strain, and garnish. Each attendee will also get to enjoy three cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, all while learning about the history of the drinks being made and why they’ve become beloved classics.
Attendees must be 21 years of age. Class promptly begins at 12pm and concludes at 2:30pm. Hors d’oeuvres will be served at the beginning of the course. Guests are encouraged to stick around after the course concludes to enjoy our Sunday Happy Hour service at 3pm!
Topics Covered:
- A Brief History of Cocktails & Bartending.
- Tools of the trade and how to use them.
- The four main styles of mixed beverages (Old Fashioned, Martini/Manhattan, Punch, & Sour) that every bartender and cocktail enthusiast should know.
- Proper Techniques for Stirring, Shaking, Straining, & Garnishing.
- Ingredients: Spirits, Juices, Syrups, Bitters, Ice, Glassware, Garnishes, etc.
- QUESTION & ANSWER SESSION: What questions do you have for us? All of our instructors have decades of bartending experience, and this is the chance to ask us any questions you may have in an open format that you may not otherwise have the ability to ask in a busy bar.
