Are you tired of drinking the same old cocktails at home? Do you want to put a unique spin on your next cocktail party with friends & family? Well, if you’ve ever wondered how to create your own original cocktails, now is your chance to find out!
Join us for this two-hour mixology course and learn about the five main components of a cocktail (and how they play a part in balance), proper technique for mixing drinks, and the many methods utilized by the pros for creating innovative recipes. At the end of the course, each attendee will create a new signature cocktail, utilizing ingredients readily available at home or in the store, using our comprehensive cocktail creation guide. Best of all, each attendee will leave with all of the knowledge needed to regularly concoct new libations at home, so let’s get those creative juices flowing!
Each attendee will get to enjoy three cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, all while learning about the history of the drinks being made and why they’ve become beloved classics.
Attendees must be 21 years of age. Class promptly begins at 12pm and concludes at 2:30pm. Hors d’oeuvres will be served at the beginning of the course. Guests are encouraged to stick around after the course concludes to enjoy our Sunday Happy Hour service at 3pm!

- The essential elements of all cocktails, and how they work together to create balance.
- Tools of the trade and how to use them!
- Proper mixing techniques given a drink’s ingredients.
- The four main styles of mixed beverages to use as the foundation for new recipes:
- Old Fashioned
- Martini/Manhattan
- Punch (Collins, Rickey, Tiki, etc.)
- Sour, Fix, Daisy - Most common methods for creating new cocktails:
- Mr. Potato Head
- Concept/Inspiration-driven
- Flavor/Ingredient-focused
- Feeling/Emotion/Reaction-invoking
- Food Pairing-driven
- Guideline-driven
