About this Event
“Brandy” - the term used for distillates derived from fruit - is one of the world’s most ubiquitous spirits. Nearly anywhere and everywhere that fruits grow, there is sure to be a Still nearby, ready to turn its fermented byproducts into eau-de-vie.
In this course, attendees will learn about the history of Brandy’s creation, the predominant styles of Brandy, and will taste through a flight of twelve unique styles of Fruit Spirits, while learning about their place of origin, production methods, flavor profiles, and how the category has evolved over the last nine centuries.
In addition to learning about each spirit, attendees will receive instruction on the fundamentals of tasting in order to understand and appreciate their nuances, their trademark qualities, and what to look for in Brandies of superior quality. At the end of the course, you’re certain to leave feeling like a certified Master of Brandy!
Attendees must be 21 years of age. Class promptly begins at 12pm and concludes at 2:30pm. Hors d’oeuvres will be served at the beginning of the course. Guests are encouraged to stick around after the course concludes to enjoy our Sunday Happy Hour service at 3pm!
