The Roc City Original is a Songwriters Competition designed to showcase incredible local talent around the Rochester area.There will be 10 musical acts selected to perform 2 original compositions that will be judged by a panel of local legends. Each winner will receive prizes, but the #1 Roc City Original Songwriter will win a chance for an opening slot with one of the judges projects.

You can enter as a SOLO or a DUO act
•You DO NOT need to be from Rochester to enter. This is for any songwriters across central and western NY•
To sign up you must send an email to:

(With the subject labeled as “COMPETITOR”)
•All admissions must include competitors name, genre of music, and a VIDEO SUBMISSION including one of their songs to enter. Some of this information may be used for promotional content (with competitors consent of course).
•Please do not sign up for people other than yourself.
•Slots are limited to 2 songs and 10 minutes from first note to last Set up and introduction does not count against set time.
•Once selected, competitors will provide a simple stage plot and will receive a full schedule.
