Join us for a special night of jazz as acclaimed trumpeter Robin Pengilley takes the stage with a tailor-made set celebrating the timeless music of Miles Davis.
Robin is a versatile and in-demand musician, performing across a diverse range of styles and ensembles. As a freelance player, he has appeared on numerous sessions, touring shows, soundtracks and TV work, bringing his trademark blend of precision, flair and musicality to every performance. Equally at home as a lead or section trumpeter, Robin’s artistry shines in any setting.
A dedicated jazz musician, Robin has performed with contemporary ensembles, big bands, intimate small groups and his own quartet. His classical training under Philippe Schartz and Tim Carleston, combined with his jazz and commercial studies with Noel Langley and Steve Waterman at the University of Plymouth, make him a dynamic and deeply expressive performer.
His impressive list of collaborators includes Viv Rodd, Peter Ibbetson, Gareth Lee, Noel Langley, Newbury Jazz All Stars, Ed Leaker, Tim Greenhalgh, Tim Carleston, The Eden Project, Swing Machine Jazz Orchestra, Jim Carey, UK Blues Brothers Tribute, Jon Fox (FOXMEDIA) and many more.
