The Roaring 20s was a decade of incredible energy and creativity worldwide, particularly in Paris and North America. Last year’s Roaring 20s concert was such a hit that we had to do a sequel! Featuring virtuoso violin arrangements by Jascha Heifetz of Gershwin hits from Porgy & Bess and American in Paris, plus Debussy’s beautiful Violin Sonata, music by Rebecca Clarke, Lili Boulanger and more! This concert is paired with DOUBLE FOUR SEASONS: Vivaldi & Piazzolla back-to-back! on Saturday November 9 at 3 pm, available at a series price.Violinist Sadie Fields is on tour from Brussels, Belgium, where she is in demand as a soloist and elite chamber music player. She performs frequently as a soloist and is a member of the Bryggen and Flash string ensembles. She recently joined the renowned Edinburgh String Quartet.
Pianist Ken Gee founded and continues to direct Guelph Musicfest, an annual 5-concert chamber music festival that takes place in May and June but now presents "encore" concerts in November in Guelph as well as at Grace United Church in Thornbury (former home of the Collingwood chamber music society).
