Rise (verb): to move from a lower position to a higher one; an instance of becoming higher.Here at Rise Up Girls, we view the act of rising up as an opportunity to behave in a manner where we are taking the higher road, the route that allows us to transcend above our battle, the route that's closer to our god.
In today's world, there are so many challenges that we as women face that will try to bring you down, each one becoming a weight resting on top of your shoulders as you go through your days. There's the pressure of society telling us how to look and act and dress. There's the pressure of social media where with every passing scroll, content appears and resets presenting material that's another added weight. From trolls, to filters that create flawless skin and eyelashes that are unachievable in real life no matter how much mascara you buy, to nonstop ads telling us to buy these jeans or this makeup to achieve this look. There's the pressure we put on ourselves to perform and excel- be it in school, athletics, hobbies, or work. There's the pressure from our friends and our families trying to decide what's best for us, and lead us down a path that at times can have twists and turns.
Our foundation is here to help you every step of the way to Rise Up. To Rise Up from your situation. To Rise Up and overcome what social media is telling you. To Rise Up from peer pressure. To Rise Up with a sense of confidence. To Rise Up in the act of getting closer to our god. To Rise Up and appear as your best self.
Our goal for our rally is to set you up with your Rise Up Girl Tool Kit. To be able to reach inside of your kit and inside of yourself for your inner power. To utilize each tool to help make the load of weight you're carrying around more manageable.
