About this Event
Can't believe it's been over two years since we closed our doors at the South Granville location. Chef Dan, Wanda, and our team at The Rise Eatery miss you all so dearly and wish to once again share our love for fusion cuisine with you!
The idea of pop up has always intrigued us as we've been so inspired by all the passionate souls in Vancouver that put forward events to celebrate food. We are so excited to present you with our first pop up ever: The Rise Reunion!
This menu will be a 7-course experience featuring some of the best hits from our restaurant, as well as brand new dishes inspired by Chef Dan & Wanda's recent travels to Hong Kong & Korea.
You can expect a night filled with bursts of flavours, textures, and delicious fun.
The menu includes:
Insadong Pork Belly Wrap
Smoked pork belly, apple kimchi, fresh garlic, ginger, & chili, perilla leaves, gem lettuce, grainy mustard aioli
Korean Beet Tartar
Marinated beets, cured egg yolk, Asian pear
Kowloon Beef Brisket Noodle
24-hour lo sui sous vide beef ribs, braised daikon, housemade egg noodle sheet, aromatic beef broth, yellow chives
"Cheung Fun"
Steamed puréed scallop rolls, hoisin beurre blanc, toasted tahini, scallions
Chicken Seoul Good 2.0
Korean-style fried chicken, wild mushroom cream, truffle oil, grana padano
Uni-Versal Pasta
Squid ink pasta, uni carbonara, X.O. sauce sautéed prawns, tobiko, toasted nori
Matcha Mochi
Green tea ganache-filled mochi, fresh raspberries, lemongrass berry soup
Tickets are sold in pairs. Event may be family-style seating.
Due to the nature of this event, please note that dietary restrictions or substitutions cannot be accommodated. Both alcoholic and zero-proof beverage options will be available for purchase.
Doors opens at 6:30pm and dinner begins at 7:00pm
Tickets will not be sold at door.
