Sydney four piece The Rions celebrate their recently released debut EP, Minivan with two Aotearoa headline shows next month.
Playing Wellington’s San Fran on Wednesday 21 February and The Tuning Fork in Auckland on Thursday 22 February, the band will also appear at One Fest in Dunedin and Electric Avenue in Christchurch.
On the back of their huge 22 date Australian tour, which included a swag of sell out shows, this will be the first time playing for fans in Aotearoa.

Released in September 2023, their debut EP Minivan sees The Rions make sense of the noise happening around them in real-time. Back by a clear drive for consistent evolution, Minivan covers the range of the band’s offering: Mylo Xyloto-like, arena-ready choruses with their keen ear for humility and intimacy intact; capturing a similar jolly mischief of the four best friends running rampant through train stations and fields in A Hard Day’s Night.
