About this Event
A part of the spring symposium in the UMass Lowell School of Education.
This award-winning documentary, the Right to Read follows the stories of an activist, a teacher, and two families who fight to provide young children with the most foundational indicator of life-long success: the ability to read.
The film will be followed by a panel discussion of experts, who will share their perspectives on the impact of reading on future generations, and what we can do to ensure this basic human right.
Light refreshments will be served.
