In 1972, at the peak of their respective careers, singer-songwriter legends Carly Simon and James Taylor got married. Those of us who rolled Taylor were at best perplexed; those who followed Simon were probably fine. Either way it was a big deal as a popular culture thing. But what really mattered then—and ever since—was that they were both flat out brilliant and each in their own way changed our lives. Lynnea Barry and company take on a fine selection of their best, from “Carolina In My Mind” and “That’s The Way I’ve Always Heard It Should Be” to “Your Smiling Face” and “Jesse”.
