The Rider Refiner off horse workshops are back this Autumn, and we want to help you find that extra push to help you and your horse perform better, whatever your discipline! Happy hacker? Let’s get sitting straighter and more comfortably. Dressage diva? Let’s increase those collective marks and be more effective in the saddle. Jumping your thing, let’s learn to move our bodies in a more refined way and communicate better with our horses for those double clear scores! No matter what your activity, if you ride a horse, this is the session for you! This off-horse workshop is designed to develop your understanding the neutral pelvis, lower body and core control. We will also cover the biomechanics of your body, learning about common imbalances and how you can work on improving them.
This session is a must do for anyone who spends any time in the saddle, no matter what the discipline, and whether you compete or not.
We will be using 'Woody', the saddle horse, who will help us explore how to better connect with our horses, gain an understanding of how our bodies work, and how to influence our horses for the better. After this, we use pilates, the Swiss balls and the iMoveFreely biomechanics programme, all of which help develop better balance and mobility as riders.
Each participant will then get a take home programme of exercises to be able to continue their journey at their leisure, and allow them to see and continue their improvement, knowing everything they work through is for the benefit of their horse.
If you're a complete beginner, then welcome, your journey starts here!! If you're looking for a new challenge, then great! Come along and test yourself and learn all about how to refine your riding.
Spaces are only £40 per person and will be conducted in a small group environment (maximum 4 people). Payment required in full ahead of the event to secure your place.
