Formed in the early eighties in ATTRITION's studio, in Cheylesmore, Coventry, IRSOL released 2 cassette albums of electronic experimentalism on Alan Rider's Adventures in Reality label, played a single show at Bablake School in Coventry... and were gone.... (but not before receiving some great press in Dave Henderson's Wild Planet column on experimental music in Sounds magazine).In 2015 German Industrial/Experimental label Vinyl on Demand reissued a Vinyl collection taken from those 2 cassettes... and this year invited IRSOL to reform to perform at the 2nd and final VOD festival in Friedrichshafen, Germany (Friday July 17th)
Ashley Niblock, Edward Pearson and Richard Woodfield have regrouped and are reassembling an IRSOL live set as you read this...
They plan a warm up show on Monday July 13th at the wonderful Priory Undercrofts in the heart of Coventry.
